Dear John,
I am writing this letter to convey my heartfelt appreciation to you on behalf of my college for your generous donation to our college.
Ever since I was admitted by this school, I have heard a lot about your deeds. You, who had won a lot of competitions and had been awarded National scholarship four years in a row , graduated from our school as the outstanding graduate in 2008. After that, instead of finding a regular job and idling life away, you chose to start your own business, which bring you great success. Your story has inspired generations of students in our school. Besides that, you keep donating to our school, and this time, the sum exceeds that of in the past, which reminds us of your great care about our school. I am sure, our school, with your financial assistance, will provide students with better studying environment and teaching facilities.
