Dear Ivy,
I’m writing to invite you to participate in the Regional Cuisines of China, an activity held by the Cooking Club in my school.
It will be held in the cafeteria of my school next Friday afternoon. First, various cuisines from different areas will be shown in the activity, like fried noodles and Kung Pao chicken, and then we can have a taste. Besides, we can cook Chinese food by ourselves under the guidance of famous chefs in my city. Don’t forget to know about Chinese food on the Internet in advance.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours,
Li Hua

Paragraph 1:
Hearing her invitation, my heart was filled with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I felt good that I was the only fan who got the opportunity. I admired Jennifer Capriati very much and was eager to stay with her a little longer. On the other hand, I was very afraid of riding a roller coaster. However, I must take the chance and it didn’t take much time to make my decision. I nodded my head and went to a roller coaster with her.
Paragraph 2:
My friend caught up with me and asked, “Are you sure that you want to take a roller coaster?” “Yes,” I answered. “This is the only chance for me to ride a roller coaster with my heroine.” My friend was surprised; she had spent years trying to persuade me to do that. Fears of heights and moving too fast seemed unimportant now. Although I screamed during the entire time like a girl being chased by an axe killer, I finally survived. That chance of meeting with Jennifer Capriati helped me overcome my fear. And since then, I have lived in a world where I am a bit braver.
